# Connect and Sign In to Streaming Services on Vizio TV

Your Vizio Smart TV puts a world of streaming entertainment at your fingertips. From blockbuster films on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video to live sports on ESPN+, must-see originals on Disney+ and Max, and completely free content on WatchFree+ and Tubi — the variety of services available through SmartCast is remarkable. Once you've installed your preferred apps, all it takes is a quick sign-in to start watching. This guide walks you through connecting every major streaming service to your Vizio TV so you can get to the good stuff as fast as possible.

## How to Sign In to Streaming Apps
Signing in to a streaming app on your Vizio Smart TV is straightforward. For most services, you'll either enter your email and password directly on the TV or use an activation code method — where you sign in on your phone or computer and the TV automatically unlocks.
From the SmartCast home screen, scroll to the app you want to sign in to and press **OK** on your remote to launch it. If the app isn't installed yet, visit the App Store first — press the **V button** on your remote, scroll to **App Store**, and search for the service by name.
On the app's welcome or splash screen, look for a **Sign In**, **Log In**, or **Get Started** option. Use the directional buttons on your remote to highlight it and press **OK**.
Most apps offer two options: **enter credentials on TV** or **use an activation code**. The activation code method is highly recommended — it's faster and avoids the frustration of typing a long password with the on-screen keyboard.
If typing on the TV: Use the on-screen keyboard (or the SmartCast mobile app keyboard) to enter your email address and password. If using an activation code: The TV will display a short code and a URL like **netflix.com/activate** or **hulu.com/activate**. On your phone or computer, go to that URL, sign in to your account, and enter the code. The TV signs in automatically within seconds.
Once signed in, you'll land on the app's home screen. Browse content, pick something to watch, and press **OK** or **Play** to begin streaming. Your sign-in stays active so you won't need to log in again on this TV unless you manually sign out.
## Service-by-Service Setup
Each streaming service has slightly different sign-in flows. Here's a quick guide for the four most popular platforms.
**Sign In to Netflix on Vizio TV**
1. Open the **Netflix** app from your SmartCast home screen.
2. Select **Sign In** on the welcome screen.
3. Choose **Sign in with a code** for the easiest experience.
4. On your phone or computer, go to **netflix.com/tv8** and sign in to your Netflix account.
5. Enter the 8-character code displayed on your TV screen.
6. Netflix will confirm on the TV and take you to your profile selector.

**Sign In to Hulu on Vizio TV**
1. Open the **Hulu** app from your SmartCast home screen.
2. Select **Log In** on the welcome screen.

6. The TV will confirm registration and take you directly to Prime Video's browsing interface.
